4. Summary of the first four seals/ four horsemen:
The rider on the white horse is Jesus Christ
The rider on the red horse represents persecution of the Church through slaughter
The rider on the black horse represents persecution of the Church through injustice, economic hardship, and poverty
The rider on the pale horse represents Death: the sword (war), famine, plague, wild beasts

Never take your own revenge, beloved, but leave room for the wrath of God, for it is written, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord.
Since God is going to take up your cause, you can lay it down!
There is a reality of God’s wrath!
Wrath = He repays with vengeance

They were given a white robe and told to wait a little longer

Seven classes of people = totality of His judgment
They seek safety in death itself
“Hide us from the face of Him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb”
“Their” wrath has come!

14. The Sixth Seal
We know this ultimately about the wrath of God:
It will be eternal
It will be terrifying
It will be just
It will have been escapable through Christ Jesus!
