What I’m looking for… An image which shows good understanding and successful use of the wax resist technique as well as Hundertwasser’s influence on colour choices.

4 Watch a teacher demonstration on how to create a wax resist image based on your overlapping drawing. You will use this technique to decorate your coil pot and tile.

5 Wax Resist Take a sheet of tracing paper
Place the tracing paper over your overlapping drawing until you are happy with your selection. Trace your selected area and transfer it onto a piece of cartridge paper. Using wax crayon colour in your image. Now paint over it using black ink and dabbing away any excess with a tissue. 40 minutes 5

6 5 minutes Turn to the back of your sketchbook and thinking about the learning objectives from the start of the lesson, tick each statement that you feel confident you have learnt. Now at the right-hand side, write down one specific thing that you have learnt today that you didn’t know before.
