3 EE Status Requirements have been reviewed and revised
Currently under review by FDOT. The requirements review resulted in many questions. The first set of questions are on the following slides. Answers to questions will affect design and result in further requirement revisions. Preliminary conceptual design was completed to facilitate discussions about presentation, content and usability. 4 First Set of EE Questions
What is the smallest area that a hurricane warning/watch/evacuation would be issued? City? County? What are the different categories of people used to classify people during evacuations? There seems to be two types of evacuations: Voluntary and Mandatory. Is there any other type? Can the FDOT provide a sample of an Evacuation Strategy? What shelter-in-place information should be provided? Does the FDOT have an agreement with a weather data provider? If not, does the FDOT have a preferred source that SwRI should investigate? SunGuide Emergency Evacuation Concept Review July 13, 2004

5 First Set of EE Questions
The following questions are conditional based on the answer to this question: Does FDOT wish the SwRI Developed EE application to be consistent with the “SunGuide Web Site” (at If yes, then: Does the SunGuide Web site have a style guide? Should the EC Web site have a similar look and feel to the SunGuide Web Site? What is the relationship between the SunGuide Web site and the publicly available portion of the Evacuation Coordination Web site (i.e. is there a link to the SwRI EE web site from the SunGuide Web Site). Do evacuation conditions affect the home page of the SunGuide Web Site (if so, how is the web master to be contacted)? Would FDOT provide contact information for resource that created SunGuide Web Site graphics (would be useful for what we are to develop)? SunGuide Emergency Evacuation Concept Review July 13, 2004

6 Design Concept Overview
An arbitrary look and feel selected for presentation. The site will use the internet guidelines provided by FDOT and the Florida State Technology office. EE web site is separate from SunGuide travel conditions web site. The sites can be cross linked. Only data presentation is shown and not data entry interface.
