2 Today’s Events Wear Red Day Frosh/JV/Varsity AA Pioneer Away 5:30/7:00p.m. Cheer Banquet in the Cafeteria 6:30p.m.

3 Admission reps will be available in the counseling office as follows: Tues 10/27 8:00 Siena Heights Thurs 10/29 8:00 University of Michigan- Ann Arbor Thurs 10/29 2:00 Calvin College Juniors and Seniors are allowed to sign up for up to 3 college visits and must do so in advance in the counseling office.

4 Halloween is coming! Please donate a bag or several bags of Halloween candy to Key Club at lunch so they can help the elderly residents at Lynwood Manor pass out candy to area children soon. Help make Halloween fun for them!

5 Are you a junior or senior interested in a career in public service
Are you a junior or senior interested in a career in public service?  The United States Senate Youth Program is looking for outstanding students to attend Washington DC Week. Students will spend a week listening to major policy addresses by Senators, cabinet members, the Department of Defense and other federal agencies, as well as participate in a meeting with a Justice of the US Supreme Court. Two students will be selected to represent each state.  Applications are due by November 6.  For more information contact the Counseling Office.  

6 Any student-athlete in the 12th grade interested in applying for the MHSAA Scholar-Athlete Award should visit the MHSAA website for details at  Deadline for submission is December 4th.  See Mr. Roberts in the Athletic Office if you have any further questions.

7 AHS Gay-Straight Alliance welcome all LGBTQA students and allies to their next meeting, tomorrow, Wednesday, October 28th from 3-4 in room A125  We meet every other Wednesday's and all are welcome to come and discuss current topics in the LGBTQA community.  Also, anyone who is planning on running for an officer position, please prepare any promotional items and speech.  

8 Maple City Driving Schools next segment 2 class will start tomorrow, Wed. Oct 28th right after school in room A-100. Information about this class and all other classes can be found in the main office.

9 Attention staff and students
Attention staff and students. You can help the turkey drive by dining out at Buffalo Wild Wings tomorrow, Wednesday, Oct 28th from 5-9 pm. BWW will donate 15 percent of the nights revenue to help the turkey drive provide Thanksgiving dinners to 500 low income local families. Take your family or friends out for a great evening of dining. Coupons to BWW can be picked up at the AD office today and tomorrow. You must have a coupon with you on Wednesday night to turn into the waitress. Thank you for all you do to help others...

10 Any boys interested in playing basketball, please plan on attending on meeting next Thursday, Oct 2:45 in the Health Room.

11 Maple City Driving School will conduct a segment 1 class at AHS starting on Monday Nov 2. The class will be held in room a-100 starting right after school.  You can pick up registration forms in the main office. 

12 SADD Club would like to announce the next week is RED RIBBON Week
SADD Club would like to announce the next week is RED RIBBON Week.  The Theme for this year's Week is "Respect Yourself and Be Drug Free". Monday is Decorating your !st hour class door. Besides participating in activities at school, we are asking all students to take the Red Ribbon message home and share it with your Family and Friends. An added bonus:  You can win an IPad and $1000 for the club by entering the Red Ribbon Photo Contest at 

13 Want to learn how to play the drums
Want to learn how to play the drums? The Adrian Public Schools Band Department is running a series of drum clinics beginning on Monday, 11/16/15 from 3:00 to 5:00 pm. There are posters around the high school to sign up electronically, or you can enroll at the band room before school. This free activity is open to all Adrian Public School students from 7th through 12th grades. Opportunity is knocking, come join us.

14 Attention all girls interested in playing soccer in the spring
Attention all girls interested in playing soccer in the spring....if you are interested in going to the last Siena Heights Women's soccer game tonight for free, please contact Coach Hanosh.

15 Attention all boys JV and Varsity soccer players, we will meet after school in the gym lobby on Friday to collect uniforms, take down goals, and play Wembley.

16 Attention members of National Honor Society, if you are looking for service hour opportunities this trimester we still need people to sign up to babysit during Math Night on November 4th from 5:30-7:00.

17 Join Maples Write Now to have fun with many witty and interesting characters! As we write, talk, and plan community service, you are guaranteed to have a great time! Join us every other Tuesday after school until 4 P.M. in A125, ms. eddy's room. Go Maples!

18 A representative from the Paul Mitchell Beauty School will be visiting on Thursday, October 29, at 8:00 AM. Interested juniors and seniors should sign up in the Counseling Office.

19 There will be a mandatory girls and boys bowling meeting on Monday, November the cafeteria.  A parent/guardian must be present at the meeting.

20 Congratulations to Hayden McGowan and Pedro Torres for winning Mondays college application week contest. Hayden correctly guessed the fight song for Central Michigan University and Pedro's name was drawn for participating in yesterdays financial aid meeting. Stop in to counseling to  claim your prize. Keep trying everyone :)
