Tablets: Initial approach MPs travel very often from their cities to the Senate, so they have a lot of time they could use to do their job During the last years, the MPs had used laptops for their mobility work and, optionally, a smartphone instead of traditional phone But to transport the laptop everywhere is not a good idea: heavy, with different additional elements,.. The tablet appears as an appropriate device to solve these problems

Tablets: First choices Operating system platform and devices: Android and Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 (Open environment and less expensive devices than competitors with same functionality) Adaptation and choice of browsers (Android browser, Firefox,...) Android apps that launch HTML5 web applications to facilitate migrations and maintenance

9. Online procedures in a tablet: DESIGN Complementary application of PC and laptop one, reusing previous experience and exposing current procedures Digital signature for secure transactions Universal method of communication that could be used between MPs and Senate for all required interactions

12. Conclusions and next targets Since its launch in February 2,2012 30% of the bills have been signed with tablet (1125 of 3308). The rest were signed with the laptop or PC application. Users have embraced the new technology quickly (though some of them are helped by their assistants, sometimes) Next targets: Procedures creation module Unified devices control New applications and procedures for tablets Versions of the system for IOS (because some people could prefer to use their own devices)
