Eglin – Hurlburt Community Partnership Program Public-Public, Public-Private (P4) Partnerships “Leveraging military installation and local community capabilities and resources to obtain value and benefit in support of the AF mission.” Reduce net costs Need to make every dollar count, provide quality services, allocate risk, share value Leadership Committee and Tri-County Community Partnership Advisory Board Leadership Committee – Eglin/Hurlburt Wing Commanders, plus EDC Dir Advisory Board – Led by EDC – Forms/manages working groups Leverage military installation and local community capabilities and resources Reduce operating and service cost Reduce risk Support AF mission Reduced service budgets have created challenges Requires new approaches and ways of thinking Need to make every dollar count, provide quality services, allocate risk, share value Utilize new and existing authorities to identify Public-Public and Public-Private (P4) initiatives The Community Partnership Initiative provides leadership resources to develop, prioritize and implement partnership initiatives Provides a Partnership “Brokering Team” when Installations and Community Leaders commit to using the AF process 7-step process, analytical/methodical approach, adaptable Cross-functional AF Community Partnership Task Force chaired by SAF/IEI Members’ expertise assists through the Public-Public, Public-Private (P4) process Eglin AFB was selected by SAF/IE for the Community Partnership Initiative FY 14 program Hurlburt Field was also selected for the initiative SAF/IE supports the idea of a joint effort between Eglin AFB and Hurlburt Field Common stakeholders, increased awareness of potential needs and resources Status Preliminary internal pre-planning accomplished Finalizing kick-off date DISTRIBUTION STATEMENT A.
