Account Management and Provisioning System Instructions for COMSEC Management System

3 Register for Amps account

4 User registration for non-dla users
Go to and select cert. It will bring you to the AMPS splash screen where you will then select on “Click HERE for access to AMPS”

5 First time user registration
Select “First Time User? Click Here to Register”

6 First time user registration cont’d
Select “I Work for another Federal Agency” then accept Privacy Act Statement pop-up

7 Registration Details Fill in all required fields (identified by *)
Name address Duty Title – either COMSEC Account Manager or CAP Administrator, as applicable Cyber Awareness Certification Date User Type – Civilian, Military, Contractor (will need to fill in contract information) Grade/Rank Branch Citizenship Duty Telephone Duty Address External Supervisor – This is YOUR supervisor (they are external to DLA) External Security Officer – This is YOUR Unit Security Manager External Authorizing Official CAMs MUST list or CAP Administrators (CROs) MUST list their COMSEC Account Manager Select Next

9 User password and security questions
Complete the Security Questions and Set Password. Select Next

10 Review Registration Info
Review the information on the Summary screen If required, click the back button to return to a previous screen to make changes/corrections. Click Create Account AMPS will display a Confirmation Screen containing your new AMPS user ID. ENSURE you make note of your user ID. You will need the user ID and password you created to log into AMPS. Click “Login to AMPS”

13 Request role Login to AMPS
On the left of the screen, under the Requests menu, click “Request Role”

14 Update user information
Fill in any missing required information (identified by *) (See slide 8) Ensure Cyber Awareness Certification Date is within 12 months of the current date If you are a non-CAC user, AMPS requires your SSN. Enter and confirm your SSN, IF AMPS displays this field. Enter your date of birth Review Supervisor, Security Official, and Authorizing Official information. Request cannot be processed without accurate information. Click NEXT

15 Search and select a role
From the ‘Browse Roles by Application’ menu on the left select “DACS Applications” From the expanded list select “CMS” From the ‘Select a Role’ menu highlight “CMS Prod - DACS CMS Full User (DACSCMS-2) Click the right arrow to move the option to the ‘Selected Roles’ box Click ‘Next’

17 justification Enter comment justifying this role request in the “Justification” text area. IMPORTANT: You MUST enter the following text, verbatim, or the DLA account creators will not create your account!!!! Access to CMS required to perform Cryptographic Access Program administration IAW AFMAN O. Click Next

18 Submit role request On Summary screen, verify all the information and select “Submit” Once submitted, it will enter the approval workflow. Approval is completed by the POCs identified earlier, then sent to the account creators for verification/completion
