3. To save a new file:
1) Open your word processing software, such as Microsoft Word.
2) Create a document.
3) Click on File or the Quick Access button.
4) Then click Save As.
5) Select the folder in which you would like to save your file.
6) In the “File Name” field, enter a file name that fits the specifications given by your professor, such as “Scavenger_Susan.”
7) In the “Save As Type” field, click on the drop-down menu and select (.rtf) for Rich Text Format.
8) Click Save.
You will see your new file name at the top of the application window.
