6 Implied powers- not expressly stated, but are reasonably suggested.

7 Elastic clause Examples- highways, ending racial discrimination

8 Inherent powers- federal powers of a sovereign country
Examples- immigration, acquiring territory

9 Powers denied the National Government
1. expressly denied Examples – freedom of religion, illegal searches

10 Silence of the Constitution- The National government only has the power given to it.
Examples – public school, marriage
