2 Two-Absolute Brush Strokes
An ABSOLUTE adds visual description to your writing An absolute is a noun with a participle (-ing verb) partner Use 2 absolutes, with a comma after each one, to brighten up a boring detail

3 Two-Absolute Brush Stroke EXAMPLE #1:
Target sentence: The crowd cheered. Target sentence with 2 absolutes: Voices booming, arms flailing, the crowd cheered.

4 Two-Absolute Brush Stroke EXAMPLE #2:
Target sentence: The kitten hunted bugs. Target sentence with 2 absolutes: Tail bobbing, nose twitching, the kitten hunted bugs.

5 Two-Absolute Brush Stroke EXAMPLE #3:
Target sentence: The athlete scored. Target sentence with 2 absolutes: Muscles rippling, pride soaring, the athlete scored.

6 Two-Absolute Brush Stroke EXAMPLE #4:
Target sentence: The fans groaned loudly. Target sentence with 2 absolutes: Eyes narrowing, teeth grinding, the fans groaned loudly.

7 Two-Absolute Brush Stroke YOUR TURN:
Target sentence: The kitten kissed the puppy.
