2 Authentic Lloyd Carr coached The University of Michigan to a national championship in 1997 not by being flashy or flamboyant but by being himself, never losing self-confidence and sticking to his principles. Great leaders are honest and aren’t fake. Carr is authentic.

3 Charismatic With his determination and thousand of quotes Vince Lombardi took the Green Bay Packers from and in two seasons had them in the championship game. The Super Bowl trophy is now named after the famous coach. Lombardi never coached a team with a losing record. Vince Lombardi had charisma

4 Cultural Paul “Bear” Bryant is credited with recruiting the first black football player at a SEC school in 1970 helping to integrate the southern schools. The “Bear” was cultural.

5 Quality Chuck Knoll came to Pittsburgh in 1969 to a franchise that had never won a championship and transformed the team into a dynasty. Winning a record 4 Super Bowls. Chuck Knoll was a quality leader.

6 Service Tony Dungy a champion on the field has been involved in numerous civic organizations and is a National spokes man for All Pro Dad and The Adoption Journey Project Coach Dungy is a service leader

7 Transformational Tom Landry help transform the City of Dallas in the 60’s as a city that was known where John F. Kennedy was assassinated into a City that was the home to “America’s Team”. Tom Landry was a transformational leader.

8 Visionary “Those who stay will be champions” was the slogan that a young Bo Schembechler came to The University of Michigan with and before he retired he was true to his vision winning 13 Big Ten titles in his 20 year tenure. Bo had a vison!
