3. Timer- the person at the lab that goes through your film and selects the shots.

4. Take- multiple versions of the same shots

5. Splice- method of joining two pieces of film so that they become one.

6. Split Screen/Matte Shot- shot divided down the center of the frame.

7. Speed- this is what the sound technician or recorder will yell to indicate they are rolling tape.

8. Rough Cut- the edited film between the stages of assembly and final version.

9. Registration- the degree to which one frame lines up with the next.

10. Nose Room- in profile, the space between the face and the edge of the frame.

11. Mix-the process of combining all soundtracks into one.

12. Location Sound- any wild track or room tone that was recorded at the shoot.
