Section 1- Background and Description of the Achievement
Usage of Case Studies while Course Delivery: In a classroom many students are more inductive than deductive reasoner, hence there was need for encouraging active learning. Apart from this, there is also requirement of : allowing the application of theoretical concepts to be demonstrated, thus bridging the gap between theory and practice. actively engaging students in figuring out the principles by abstracting them from the examples. providing an opportunity for the development of key skills such as communication, group working and problem solving. Section II - Justification
Evidences A case study document is embedded which was prepared for the focus area – Understanding of Scheduling Algorithm Information on Results and corresponding evidences: This case study was solved by student teams while topic of scheduling algorithms was covered in the class. The student teams came up with multiple solutions and the one shown here is the optimal one. The case study evaluation sheet used for assessing the students is embedded.

Section III - Conclusion
The students gave a positive feedback about the usage of this case study that it has cemented the concepts of Scheduling algorithms. They also got a chance to experience active learning through problem solving, decision making in complex situations and coping with ambiguities along with brainstorming and group discussions/presentations. The case study feedback sheet used for assessing the students is embedded.
