Who uses what? Where they use it? How they use it? Why they use it?
Also looks at the when (past, present, future)
i.e. land use – farming vs residential

3. WHY DO WE STUDY GEOGRAPHY?
To understand how the systems of the world work
To explore how we affect the systems of the world (i.e. increased greenhouse gas emissions, global warming, water pollution, mining, etc.)
If we understand how the systems work we know how to work with them or fix the problems that arise

4. Why Should Christians Study Geography?
God’s will for us in geography:
STEWARDSHIP
We see ourselves as stewards (earthkeepers) given a task by God
It is our duty to learn about the world around us and how to take care of it (Gen 1:28)
