1 ORDERLINESS IN THE CHURCH AND MEMBERS’ LIFESTYLE
- 15 October 2016 I Corinthians 14:33, 40; Habakkuk 2:20

2 ESSENCE OF ORDERLINESS
Orderliness implies that our meetings and activities are well organized Orderliness is also associated with other qualities such as cleanliness and symmetry, peacefulness, sense of responsibility, time management etc. It touches on everything that is involved in our meetings and activities: Both animate and innanimate (people, gadgets and infrastructure)

3 IMPORTANCE OF ORDERLINESS
God is in the midst of His Church He expects orderliness (1 Cor 14:40) God is not the author of confusion (1 Cor 14:33) Orderliness glorifies God (1 Kings 10:1-10)

4 ORDERLINESS BEFORE THE SERVICE
Make sure the hall of meeting is arranged and conducive for the service: Do all the cleaning before the pre-service prayer Test all gadgets (micrphones, keyboards etc) and make sure they are working Have a ministry plan and follow it: All ministers should be aware of their duties before the service Encourage all members to participate in the pre-service prayers so that the whole church could begin the service together Ushers should let the front rows be occupied first so that late comers could sit at the back. This is to avoid distractions Nursing mothers should stay at the back and near the door to minimize distractions

5 ORDERLINESS DURING THE SERVICE
Movement should be restricted: Members should be taught to discipline themslelves and sit down quietly Avoid children roaming here and there in the service Ministers and workers should also show a good example of discipline in this respect Ministers who have difficulty in singing (e.g. during prayers) should ask a chorister to lead the song Ministers should keep to the time allotted them

6 ORDERLINESS AFTER THE SERVICE
Refreshment and fellowship after the service should be orderly: The refreshment table should not be rowdy Everyone should wait for their turn and consider one another A time table is handy for serving and cleaning up of the church.
