2. The Purpose of this lesson
Much of what we’ve learned about concerning Conflict and Compromise that has shaped politics, economics, and culture has been centered around the Civil Rights movement (both for African Americans and Women) and issues surrounding the Vietnam War. In this lesson, I would like to focus on other issues concerning the late 60’s, 1970’s and 1980’s, in order to bring about a more clear picture during this time period. In addition, I would like to focus on the changing role of government from the 1970’s to the 1980’s.
