3 ELA Strengths & Weaknesses
Strength: Writing (performance level 60). We are performing 5% better that the state in the category of % above proficient. Weaknesses: Reading Informational Text (50% are below proficient) & Reading Literacy Text (50% are below proficient).

4 Concerns & Thoughts It is concerning that 50% of our students scored below proficient. We need to bridge the gap and bring more kids up into the At or Near Proficient level

5 Need for Change?? Students need more exposure to a variety of text and on-level books Families may need to be proactive in reading to their child/children We feel change may happen because Wilson Fundations Reading Program will be implemented for the first time this year and hopefully lead to better test scores.

7 Math Strengths & Weaknesses
Strength: Numbers and Operations (45% are above proficient), Fractions (52% are At or Near Proficient), & Geometry (57% are At or Near Proficient) Weakness: Modeling and Reasoning (38% are below proficient)

8 Concerns & Thoughts Numbers and Operation almost mirror the state performance levels

9 Need for Change?? We are starting a new math series this school year.
Continuing to build foundational math skills and continuous practice of these skills are needed to improve state scores.
