I write to update you with progress in our development draw.  At present, the monies collected stands at £70,000.  Volunteers from the club have been busy within the county and in neighbouring counties over the past months selling tickets.  Needless to say, we are very grateful to them for giving up their time, going to unknown parts and knocking on the doors of strangers’ houses to raise necessary funds. This is a difficult and time-consuming task. 
Our campaign has and will depend on the generosity of our neighbours and the support of other clubs.  To this end we have been supportive of Beragh, Coa, Bellaghy and The Rock to name just a few.  However, the selling activities and patterns of other clubs have inhibited where we can go to sell – it’s a matter of timing.  It would be foolhardy for Tempo to try and sell in the same area at the same time as another club. 
For this reason, we have had to push or draw date back to Easter, the draw should now take place in or around April 2019 with a firm date to be decided.  This will give us the opportunity to fund-raise in the first four months of the new year and we hope, raise enough capital to finish out our lower field project to the highest standard. 
Our draw campaign is a mammoth undertaking and I would like to extend our thanks to Michael and Marian Corry for the huge amount of work they have done in coordinating it so far.  As I said at the beginning we are grateful to all volunteers for their hard work and dedication and of course all of those who have bought tickets. 
In closing, I wish you a very peaceful and happy Christmas and a healthy new year.  We look forward to 2019 as being a very special year for our club.
