1 Portrait of Kingdom Believer
Mark 9:1-7

2 A metamorphosis is a complete change.

3 Isa 60:19 The sun shall be no more thy light by day; neither for brightness shall the moon give light unto thee: but the LORD shall be unto thee an everlasting light, and thy God thy glory.  Zec 2:5 For I, saith the LORD, will be unto her a wall of fire round about, and will be the glory in the midst of her.

4 Portrait of Kingdom Believer
I. Has a Transformed Life. Rom 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

5 The aim of biblical Christianity is not self-improvement.

6 Acts 9:20 And straightway he preached Christ in the synagogues, that he is the Son of God. 21 But all that heard him were amazed, and said; Is not this he that destroyed them which called on this name in Jerusalem, and came hither for that intent, that he might bring them bound unto the chief priests?  2 Cor. 3:18 But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.  1 Thes. 1:9 For they themselves shew of us what manner of entering in we had unto you, and how ye turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God;

7 Tit 2:13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; 14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.  Peculiar: being beyond usual. A believer with a transformed life is unusual.

8 Pro. 10:19 In the multitude of words there wanteth not sin: but he that refraineth his lips is wise.

9 Portrait of a Kingdom Believer
Has a Transformed Life. Has a Tamed Tongue.

10 Being quiet is not natural for us.
Jas 3:7  For every kind of beasts, and of birds, and of serpents, and of things in the sea, is tamed, and hath been tamed of mankind: 8 But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.  1 Thes. 4:11 And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you;  Being quiet is not natural for us.

11 Personal Prayer Request
Psa 19:14 Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.  Psa 141:3 Set a watch, O LORD, before my mouth; keep the door of my lips.  If you’re walking in the Spirit, the Holy Spirit will temper your tongue.
