2 introduction 1. The police force changed greatly in the Victorian period in many ways including how criminals were caught and charged in a court of law. Until 1856, there was no police force, but instead, an unpaid cop who kept order in the area. 2. 1. Fun fact 2. Thesis statements: During the Victorian Age, crime was on the increase because of the increasing number of poor people.
