3. Montessori Overview 8 year program-Prekindergarten-sixth grade
multi-age classrooms *children stay with teachers for 2 year cycles
Primary-Prek & K
Lower El-1st and 2nd grades
Middle El-3rd and 4th grades
Upper El-5th and 6th grades
Individualized instruction based on developmental level, student interests, and ongoing observations
Focuses on the growth of the whole child including academic, social and emotional development

Staggered entry dates (PreK students only)
Wednesday, August 30th
Thursday, August 31st
All students report Friday, September 1st
Teacher assignments will be given in the summer letter.

Listen to beginning sounds in words-play I Spy
Count everything
Identify and write lowercase letters

Supply list will be sent in the summer
