To slow down and make this info soak in better, you can have students read aloud from this section in the book and then talk aloud together about what to put down. What’s on mine: Definition- A physical property is a characteristic of a substance you can observe without changing what it is. 3 facts- you use all your senses to detect physical properties; the state of matter is a physical property because the substance does not change identity when it’s state changes; mass and volume are two other common physical properties Examples of physical properties- boiling point, melting point, freezing point, luster, solubility, thermal conductivity, malleability, and attraction to a magnet More-
