Typically, the in-text citation requires only the following author’s last and the page number of the original source from which the quote or information was taken.
The Works Cited requires FULL publishing information. This information varies depending on the type of source (book, article, website, interview, film, song, etc.)
MLA has various formats and rules for how to put sources on a Works Cited page.
