3 Scoring What is the highest score you can make on the ACT?
Are wrong answers counted against you? What is a subscore? What is the composite score?

4 Fall 2018 Test Dates September 8th (Registration deadline is August 10th!) October 27th December 8th ALL JUNIORS WILL TAKE THE ACT HERE AT THE SCHOOL ON FEBRUARY 20th!

5 General ACT Tips Never leave a question blank. FOCUS
If you don’t know an answer immediately, move on! Prepare the night before: get enough rest, pack all supplies including snack, and plan breakfast. Practice your timing. Use process of elimination to your advantage.

6 English 75 questions; 45 minutes
About how long does that give you per question? Includes passages with grammar questions, as well as critical thinking involving structure and author’s purpose.

7 Let’s practice! Let’s do 15 English ACT questions. I’m timing you for 8 minutes!

8 Reading 40 questions; 35 minutes 4 passages
First passage is fiction; remaining three are nonfiction. Prose Fiction, Humanities, Social Science, and Natural Science Which do you think will be easiest?

9 Reading Let’s practice doing one passage. I’ll time you for 8 minutes.

10 What remaining questions do you have about the ACT?
