Our Learning
Reminder
Religion This students worked on Session 12, Celebrating Reconciliation. They learned about contrition, mortal and venial sin, and the story about Jesus forgiving Zacchaeus. We also worked on Chapter 3 of our Reconciliation books. Reading The students began a readers theater unit. They were assigned groups and scripts; practicing fluent reading: appropriate rate, accuracy, and with expression. They will perform next week. English The students completed their study of adjectives. They completed long “I” words in Spelling Unit 15. They shared their Family Traditions with the class and began working on their December stories. Math The students began chapter 6, Adding Three-Digit Numbers. They focused on mentally adding hundreds, tens, ones as well as regrouping ones and tens to add. They completed 2 days of Rocket Math and a Simple Solutions quiz.
Social Studies The students learned about memorials and monuments, holidays we celebrate, and steps to take when making decisions. The test will be next week.
Technology The students continued working on their keyboarding skills. Next week we do a Breakout Edu learning game. The students will use critical thinking, collaboration, creativity and communication to problem solve in order to break open the box.
