1 Regular Square Pyramid h l Vertex Lateral Edge Height Slant Height
Centroid The base of a pyramid can be any polygon (not only squares). The vertex (highest point) of a right pyramid lies directly above the centroid (basically the center) of the base. Regular pyramids are special cases of right pyramids. Regular pyramids are right pyramids with regular polygon bases. All the lateral edges and faces of regular pyramids are congruent.

2 Using a “net” to create area formulas

3 A regular square pyramid has base edge of 6m and lateral edge of 5m.
Slant height = Lateral Area = Base Area = Total Area = Length of altitude = Volume =

4 Lateral Area = Base Area = Total Area =
Given: Regular Triangular Pyramid, Slant height = 9cm Base perimeter = 12cm Lateral Area = Base Area = Total Area =
