3 New Volunteer Recruiting
77 Prospective Volunteers for NY3 (as of 10/25/18) 32 Prospects Many are several months old Please Contact them and move them to: Under Consideration (Candidate); On Hold; or No Match 44 Under Consideration - Candidates Will be moved to Approved status one they are certified 65 Potential Volunteers are “On Hold” from Previous Years!! These people should be contacted for volunteering this year Some of these are 3 years old – should probably be moved to “No Match” Need Assistance with Portal mechanics? Call or Dave

4 Volunteer Recruiting Other Notes:
Check Portal periodically for new prospects & make contact in a timely manner Ideas for recruiting activity/actions Refer to Recruiting section of the NY3 Website Checklists, sample poster, sample press release, etc. Contact Dave at any time to discuss recruiting actions/approaches College/University involvement For all types of volunteer roles: Tax Counselors Client Facilitators IT Support Language Translation Dave will assist in establishing relationships with your local colleges

5 “Wizard Volunteers” Theses are people who sign up through the AARP Volunteer Wizard Some may not even be familiar with TaxAide Please take note of the “Entry Source” before contacting any volunteer so you are prepared to fully explain the program to them While some may have no interest in a “tax Counselor” role, they might be interested in other roles: Client Facilitator Administrative work Communications/Partnership activity Working with Colleges to help recruit student volunteers 9 on the current list of prospective volunteers 4 have been moved to “Candidate” status Demonstrates that we do get some yield from this process
