1 Intelligences, Personality Types and Learning Styles
Horizons Chapter 2 Intelligences, Personality Types and Learning Styles

2 IQ IQ stands for intelligence quotient. It is a number that is determined via a test that involves numeracy and literacy (mostly numeracy though). The more correct answers you get on the IQ test, the higher your IQ result is. The higher the IQ result, the more intelligent you are supposedly.

3 Problem with IQ test So, if someone is really good at History, does that mean they are dumb? The problem with IQ tests are that they are very limited to numeracy (logic) and literacy (verbal strength) We have figured out that there are actually nine different multiple intelligences.

4 Multiple Intelligence
1 – This reflects your Naturalist strength (biological and the natural world science) 2 – This suggests your Musical strength (Singing, instruments and etc…) 3 – This indicates your Logical strength (Math, Chem, Physics)

5 Multiple Intelligence
4 – This illustrates your Existential strength (Spiritual connectivity – not religious) 5 – This shows your Interpersonal strength (Your ability to interact with others) 6 – This tells your Kinesthetic strength (control of one's bodily motions and the capacity to handle objects skillfully)

6 Multiple Intelligence
7 – This indicates your Verbal strength (Linguistics strength) 8 – This reflects your Intrapersonal strength ( the ability to be introspective and have self-reflective capacities) 9 – This suggests your Visual strength (spatial judgment and the ability to visualize with the mind's eye)

7 HQ and EQ Humour Quotient (intelligence) – is if you are able to have a highly developed sense of humour. Emotional Quotient (intelligence) – your ability to handle your emotions. It refers to how you cope with demands and expectations and if you are able to adapt to meet certain challenges.

8 Types of learners Auditory learners – ones who best learn when they are listening. They are able to store the information in their head, or on paper, but just listen. Visual learners – ones who learn best by reading or observing visual aids. Kinaesthetic learners – ones who learn best by touching, moving and doing things.

9 What kind of a brain do you have?
Left-brained – is one who thinks logical and analytical. The use of the left brain taps into logic and reason. Right-brained – is one who has a creative mind. This does NOT mean you are left or right brained, but one does tend to dominate.
