The previous Web site is still available for prospective student-athletes who will enroll prior to fall 2010; and
Access continues for member institutions wishing to view information for fall 2009 and winter/spring 2010 enrollees.
All already-registered Fall 2010 and later enrollees must transfer their account.
Fall 2010 and later enrollees will use the new Web site and registration process.

Overview
The member institution portal is accessed through the Legislative Services Database for the internet (LSDBi).
The portal provides member institutions better Institutional Request List (IRL) management and enhanced searching and reporting capabilities.
Member institutions will see an Eligibility Center tab at the top of the LSDBi homepage.

Across the top of the home page are the tabs [IRL, Reports, Resources and National Letter of Intent (NLI)] specific to the Eligibility Center and the initial-eligibility process.
Important Eligibility Center announcements and updates are posted on this page.

Using the IRL tab, member institutions have improved IRL management.
Institutions should use this tab to activate and deactivate prospective student-athletes.

27. IRL The portal does not use Social Security Numbers.
Member institutions have the ability to search for prospective student-athletes by:
NCAA ID;
First/last name;
Date of birth;
City/state/country; and/or
High school.

The biggest advantage to the member institution portal is the ability to create reports based on specific search criteria.
Member institutions are able to provide these reports to coaches and other campus-wide departments.

Reports can be created by:
Sport(s);
Missing information (e.g., test score, final transcript); and/or
Final information (e.g., academic certification status, amateurism certification status).

Key Points to Remember
In the future, the portal will be the method for accessing the initial-eligibility records of prospective student-athletes. Access to for member institutions will expire fall 2010.
The portal provides benefits that are not available in the former Web environment.
