God wanted fasting that was truly done for Him (cf. Isaiah 58:3-7)

Is it authorized by God or did we invent it for selfish reasons?

Our worship and work for the Lord, as well as our salvation, must be real and genuine in order to be of any true value.

Many are baptized with water but not to be saved.
Many are baptized believing that their sins have already been remitted.
Many are baptized into a man-made religious body.

1 Peter 1:7 speaks of “the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ”
