The Mayan Empire also spread through the Northern
Yucutan area in central America.

Lives in:
Southern Mexico, northern Central America and some countries like Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Belize and Yucatan Peninsula

The days are intensely hot

Recently burned in accordance with Mayan Civilization slash and burn for their agriculture
The Mayan Civilization actually fell because of the sudden climate change!

The Terrain Of The Region By David
Land on the Mexican peninsula.
Top of the Peninsula was flat (lowlands)
Southern area had mountains (highlands)
Lowlands- rainforests and savannas. Produced crops.
Highlands- subject to tsunamis, volcanoes, and earthquakes. Many dangerous
animals occupied regions.

-Because of warm climate crops began to
grow

-After the agriculture increased people

-Descendants of Mayans still live in Belize, Guatemala and central Mexico today.
-The population grew tremendously from 300 AD to 900 AD.
-Palengue, Tikal, Copan were almost like cities because many Mayans centered there.
-The Mayan’s all lived north of the
equator and on the western
hemisphere.
