1. Intro to Courts
Part I: Using online news resources, located three current events articles (within the last three years) that involve the court system in the United States. One of your articles must address a federal court case, one must address a state court case, and one must address a local court case. For each, you should include the title and source of the article, a brief summary of the article, and an explanation of why the issue was being handled by that particular level of court. Part II: Visit the link below. Then, choose four of the websites listed (of the many options) and, for each, draft a paragraph that includes the following: 1. The name of the site. 2. The purpose of the site. 3. What the site teaches us about the role of the tribal court system? 4. What the site teaches us about jurisdictional issues between tribal and national/state/local courts? 5. What issues face the citizens of native reservations in modern day?
