2. One day, Justin decided to try being more like the other animals.
There once was a giraffe named Justin, who lived in the jungle with all of his animal friends. He hated his long neck, and always wanted to be like the other animals.
One day, Justin decided to try being more like
the other animals.

3. First, he visited his friend Bernie the elephant, and saw his long trunk. So Justin the giraffe made a long trunk out of wood, tied it to his head, and tried to drink with it. But the trunk didn't work, because it wasn't a real elephant trunk. Justin didn’t fit in with the Elephants so he moved on.

4. Justin the giraffe saw his friend Charlie the cheetah run by, so he decided he wanted to run as fast as Charlie. After many hours of trying to catch Charlie, Justin got tired. He didn’t fit in with the cheetahs so he moved on

5. Next, Justin the giraffe looked up in the trees and saw his friend Marcus the monkey. Justin thought he could learn how to swing up in the trees. Justin climbed up a tree, but he was very heavy, and the branch he tried to hang on broke. He didn’t fit in with the monkeys so he moved on.

6. Justin the giraffe walked over to his friend Leah the lion
Justin the giraffe walked over to his friend Leah the lion. He noticed that she could roar so loud that the whole island could hear. Justin tried to learn to roar. But roaring made Justin's throat really hurt. He didn’t fit in with the lions so he moved on.

7. Justin the giraffe went to the river to drink some water to soothe his throat ,and he saw Hannah the hippo swimming in the river. So he decided to try to swim. But when Justin got into the river, it was very cold. He didn’t fit in with the hippos so he moved on

8. Justin the giraffe got very sad that he couldn't do anything as well as his friends did. But while he was walking through the jungle, he noticed all his friends standing around a tree. He went over and saw the best, most delicious looking fruit sitting high up on the top of the tree. It was too high for his friends to reach.

9. So Justin the giraffe reached up with his long neck and snatched the fruit. His friends were so happy! Then, Justin realized that his long neck was a good thing, and he should be happy for who he is: a long neck giraffe.
