5. The World Touring Car Championship is one of only three FIA world championships, F1 and WRC being the other two. It was formed in 2005 and brings the excitement of touring car racing all around the globe. It is seen as the pinnacle of Touring Car racing and attracts millions of fans right around the world. The 2013 FIA WTCC will be visiting twelve different countries over four continents, from Europe to Africa before moving to Americas, including the visit to the USA in September at Californias Infineon Raceway, and finally ending with events in Asia. WTCC is all about LIVE TV coverage, with a worldwide TV distribution that reached more than 160 countries across 86 TV networks and approximately 460 million viewers around the world in 2011. 11. Who are Special Tuning Racing? STR have been racing SEAT's for eight years Three Championship winning seasons, both in the UK and Spain. (SEAT Leon Cupra Challenge 2005, SEAT Cupra R 2007 and SEAT Supacopa 2008) SEAT Sport support in 2013 for WTCC. This means our cars are prepared to the same specification as the factory team, and STR will receive support from the SEAT engineers, adding to the experience of our own engineering team. This support gives STR access to all of the R & D from a highly successful championship winning manufacturer.
