3 Prepositional phrases
The Take-Away Prepositional phrases either function as an adjective or an adverb in a sentence. There are two types of prepositional phrases. adverbial adjectival ADVERBS describe verbs, adjectives, and other adverbs. They answer the questions How, when, where, and to what extent? ADJECTIVES describe nouns and pronouns. They answer the questions which one, how many/much, and what kind? Both adjectives and adverbs can be expressed as one word, a clause, or a phrase.
