2 Application PCB’s Why used them?
Simple and robust method to add extra interface I/O connectivity to existing SIF’s. Quick and cost efficient to implement. Quick and easy to mount. Should volumes merit it they could be a first step to a new SIF version. The following is a short presentation on the TBA0M0x which is a Tone Remote and Alarm monitoring interface designed to work with the TB8000 Series Base Station products. The TBA0M0x is based on the T

3 Paging Specifications
Paging Application PCB Paging Specifications Modulation format : POCSAG Channel spacing : 12.5 & 25kHz System deviation : +-90% of full system deviation Baud rates : 512, 1200 & 2400 Interface levels : Open collector (internal 8v pull-up) Operational modes : - Paging (via unbalanced interface) - Voice (via balanced interface) Frequency reference : Internal & external IMPORTANT: Please confirm what approvals have been obtained for your county before ordering.

RS232 connection, If TaitNet/RS232 SIF used. Deviation level adjustments Optional alarm / power screw terminals Paging level translation circuitry protected under can. Power for interface from PMU User D-range interface Configuration DIP switched

7 E&M Application PCB Provides E&M (opto & relay) signals for 6 wire interfacing when user also requires rear panel RS232 connectivity. Useful for dual channel systems or to improve site wiring. E&M signals are generated by buffering Taitnet TX_KEY and GX_GATE signals. 25 way D-range based on 25way E&M SIF. All other Taitnet connector signals also mapped through on 25 way D-range.

9 E&M Application PCB User interface 25 way pins.
Pins 4,8,16,17,18,19,24 are no connects. Pins 20,21,23,24 are derived from the RX_GATE or TX_KEY. All other signals map through from the Taitnet SIF Refer also to TN993 “Fitting a TBA101A E&M Applications Board to a TB8100 Reciter”

10 Application PCB’s A word of caution:
Always check the reciter SIF and application PCB D-ranges you want to connect together are compatible, especially if not ordered at the same time. PCB mounting posts require two PEM’s to be fitted to the RF rear plate. These PEM’s were only fitted as standard around June Always check reciter first if fitting to old stock. PCB mounting posts
