DCS-7410 is the outdoor network cameras with IR LEDs for outdoor surveillance applications and detail remote monitoring. It is weatherproof - so it can be used inside and out. And it's infrared - thus it can see during the day and night.

This is a super high resolution weatherproof wired CCD camera with built-in IR LEDs. The IR camera can operate in total darkness to enable surveillance day and night.

High resolution SONY CCD 520 TV lines image sensor produces excellent color video in the day and automatically turns to B/W mode in the night.

10. New features of Day & Night solution - solution
IR led is usually used for night surveillance, camera need to allow IR light pass thru sensor to get night vision.
Solution 1: With dual-band filter, cameras can with at day time for visible light as well as night time for IR light (This IR light will required extra IR LED illuminator). This is most entry level solution, it can work both day and night time but sometimes its side effect might affect picture color of day time.
Solution 2: With ICR (Infrared-Cut Removable filter) module, it use 2 filters for day and night time, it can get better color performance but cost higher.
Solution 3: Camera built-in IR LED for illumination and dual-band or ICR filter, this is most advance function camera. We usually call it All-in-one camera.

Light perception

The European Committee for Electro technical Standardization developed the Ingress Protection (IP) ratings (CENELEC) (described IEC/EN 60529), this specifies the protection a piece of electrical equipment or enclosures provides from the environment.
The way in which the index and classification works is as follows: The IP will be made up of two numbers
The first states the level of mechanical protection from thing such as dust and other solid objects.
The second number indicates the degree of protection from water and other liquids.

Both DCS-7410 and DCS-7510 use a optical condenser, the distance of IR can reach up to two times than without.
This design can reduce power consumption of IR LED and enhance the illumination coverage.
