2 DCWG Meeting April 9-10, 2008 (Washington, DC)
Met with EIA Discussed: EIA’s data needs DCWG Scope Action Items from the Last Meeting and status DCWG Work Plan Confidence Levels for Capacity margins reported by the regions Regional Feedback on Summer/LTRA data collection. NERC’s current & future data analysis approach

3 Work Status: Joint Meeting with EIA (Task 6 of DCWG Work Plan)
Meeting held on April 9, 2008 in Washington D.C. EIA to write letter to NERC outlining (Task 7 of DCWG work plan): Needed Improvements to Current EIA 411 Data Collection Future Areas of Collaboration NERC will work with EIA on forth coming changes related to Presidential Permitting for Canadian/Mexico Interconnections NERC will work with EIA to Update NERC/EIA MOU NERC to send letter to EIA thanking them (Bob Schnapp) for support on Schedule 7 (Transmission Outage Data) & Schedule 3. DCWG formed a task force, headed by Mark Lauby of NERC, to re-design Schedule 2 (Unified Generator Database): To Support NERC’s LTRA effort To closely match EIA 860 to meet EIA needs EIA desires Spring/Fall Meetings with DCWG Fall meeting to be held prior to the release of NERC’s LTRA NERC will stay abreast of EIA’s work with FERC on DSM document

4 Work Status: DCWG Meeting
Meeting held on April 9-10, 2008 in Washington D.C. Discussed Posting of Meeting Materials Formed a task force defining confidence levels for capacity data reported by regions (Fedora, Simons & Molesky along with a representative from SERC and NERC) Will seek EIA feedback on findings SERC to summarize data submittal recommendations based on regional feedback on the Summer/LTRA data collection Will be presented at April RAS meeting Request RAS move the LTRA due date to May 1 corresponding to EIA’s new due data of July 15, 2008 NPCC Representative (Fedora) will perform a trial run to demonstrate risk assessment approaches to capacity margin analysis (Supporting Task 4 of the DCWG Work plan) Next DCWG conference call scheduled for 6/18/08 Seasonal and LTRA questionnaire to be modified based on feedback from DCWG members
