2 Definition of Church Church is a place where hundreds and even thousands of people come together into one building and they worship God. The church is just a place for people who want to worship. When we just pray and worship God by our self it could also be called Church. Our family can also be called a church because we worship and respect God.

3 Mother Mary Statue The Pieta statue has a pyramid shape. The top of the statue is Mother Mary’s head. The statue widens to the bottom. The bottom is the rock of Golgotha. She is carrying Jesus on his hands. It is located in Vatican City and made of marble.

4 History of statue The Pieta was created by a famous carver called Michelangelo Buonarroti. It took more than 2 years to complete this statue. It was completed in so this church is a really old statue. This statue is dedicated to a French Cardinal but he decided to put it in Vatican City. It was first located in a church for funerals but later it was moved to st peter's basilica.

5 Why statues are created
The statues are created could be as a decoration but it usually has a really deep story behind it. Statues usually share a story like the last supper, etc.

6 Why it is important to Catholic people
It is important to Catholic people as statues represent a really strong symbol as a worship. Statues also have a story about the history of Catholicism.

7 Conclusion I can conclude that statues are a really important art in catholic as we can learn the history of Catholic. I hope statues will be preserved in the next coming generations.
