2 Description of Measles
Measles is a highly contagious virus that initiates in the nose and throat of an infected child or adult. When someone coughs or sneezes, the infected droplets spray into the air and surrounding people can inhale them in.

3 Scientific Description of Measles
Measles rash is due to viral replication in such a localized cell layer of the skin as the corneal layer, in keratinocytes of the epidermis, and in the papillary layer of the dermis.

4 Cause of Measles The measles virus is caused by a highly infectious illness called rubeola virus. It is passed by talking, sneezing, and coughing and the other person inhaling the infected droplets.

5 Symptoms of Measles High fever Cough Runny nose Red, watery eyes
Koplik Spots Tiny white spots inside the mouth begin to appear about two to three days after symptoms. Measles Rash Flat red spots begin to appear about three to five days after symptoms. The spots begin around the face and move downward. Over time the become raised.

6 Cure for Measles Measles can now almost always be prevented with a vaccine. There is no cure for measles but you would need to isolate yourself from other people up to 4 days.
