1 Candidacy Pathway

2 PURPOSE Introduction to Candidacy pathway
Making the transition in 2019 Time for questions

3 7 Phases Call Forth: intentionality by the church in raising up leaders Identify: naming a sense of call Accompany: support along the way Equip: Credentialing and Competency development Assess: promise, suitability, readiness Authorize: as ready for ministry leadership Celebrate: ordination, commissioning, recognition and everything along the way Seven Phases: These 7 phases give shape to what both the church and an individual is responsible for in relation to formation for paid accountable ministry. Non-linear, not sequential – they are integrative. Cultural shift from a cookie-cutter, step by step process that we currently have, so components that will shape a person’s formation, but not necessarily done in a particular order. (Like component links that intersect) Pathway is determined on a case by case basis with each individual – depending on their specific needs for formation
