1. Playing Basics
If you are not getting a good sound from a certain note you are playing, most likely you need to do one of the following things:
Be sure your finger is located just BEFORE (on the head side) of the fret.
Use your finger TIP to press on the string.
Press down harder.

2. Jaws Pattern To play this, use fingers 1 and 2 on your fretting hand.
Find a fret location anywhere on the guitar and press down on a string of your choice with finger 1. PLAY THE NOTE.
Keep finger 1 down, then press finger 2 down in the adjacent fret. PLAY THIS NOTE
Lift up finger 2, and PLAY THE FIRST NOTE AGAIN
Press finger 2 down again and PLAY THE SECOND NOTE AGAIN
REPEAT…

3. I Gotta Feeling Finger Pattern
ALL notes played on String 2!
Play each note on the beat.
Use fingers 1 and 3 (same finger as fret)
