Sine, cosine and tangent are the three trigonometric functions we use in Geometry. SOH CAH TOA is a phrase that we use to help us remember the ratios of these functions. SOH - Sin = ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ก๐ โ๐ฆ๐๐๐ก๐๐๐ข๐ ๐ CAH - Cos = ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ก โ๐ฆ๐๐๐ก๐๐๐ข๐ ๐ TOA - Tan = ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ก๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ก Tangent Ratio Let โ๐ด๐ต๐ถ be a right triangle with acute angle A.
