I can locate the Extended Standards for my grade level/content area. Near Future: I can utilize the Extended Standards to differentiate my instruction and support all learners.

3 What are the extended standards?
Description of Common core state standards: These Standards define what students should understand and be able to do in their study of different content areas. The Standards set grade-specific standards but do not define the intervention methods or materials necessary to support students who are well below or well above grade-level expectations. Description of the extended standards: The Ohio Academic Content Standards – Extended (OACS-E) also are commonly known as "the extended standards." These standards help to ensure that students with significant cognitive disabilities are provided with multiple ways to learn and demonstrate knowledge. At the same time, the extended standards are designed to maintain the rigor and high expectations of Ohio’s Learning Standards. The complexity options for these standards assure that all students, including those with the significant cognitive disabilities, have access to these core standards through appropriate instructional tasks. at times, the verb in the extension is the key difference; the complexity is reduced by reducing the taxonomy level.
