This week we will be discussing the following, How do people make clothes? The students will be able to talk about the different ways and different types of materials / fabrics they use to make clothes. We will also talk about how to put clothes on and take them off. We will compare the different types of clothing we see everyday.

Fun at Home: At home you can help too. Talk to your child about clothes, discuss with them the fabric how it feels and how clothes are made. Repeat to your child as they are getting dressed in the morning, this is a coat, we wear coats because it is cold outside, what do you think this material / fabric is. This will help your child with new vocabulary which we will use throughout the unit. Also, when you go shopping for clothes talk to your child about how clothes are organized at a store. Last but not least read to your child and help them name what the characters are wearing and why.
