Minimum cumulative GPA: 2.0 after the first semester; after every semester thereafter. Must not receive an F or WF in more that three courses. Complete the required curriculum; total 86 credits; 74 must be graded Maximum number of credits per semester: 17 credits Minimum number of credits per semester: 12 credits Minimum number of semesters: 6 semesters Maximum number of credits in any summer term: 8 credits

4 Online Distance Courses for JD Students
JD students may not take more than a total of 15 credits in classes where more than 1/3rd of the instruction is at a distance. JD students may not enroll for a distance course until they have completed at least 28 credits. Instructor permission required.

5 Full-time JD students enrolled in Part-time division courses
Full-time JD students may not enroll in 1L courses reserved for the Part-time division. Priority enrollment is provided to Part-time students for elective courses in the Part-time division. The ability for Full-time students to enroll in elective courses in the Part-time division is determined by the instructor.

8 Experiential Learning
All students must complete at least credits of Experiential Learning There are two different types of experiential learning courses: Live Client Experiences (LCE)* i.e., externships (judicial, government, etc.), clinics, and practica Comprehensive Simulation Experiences (CSE) i.e., courses such as Trial Practice, Client Counseling, etc. *Note: At least 3 of those 6 credits must be LCE

Student Initiated Capstone Project 1-3 Credits: Requires proposal and consent of faculty advisor and Associate Dean for Academic Affairs. Directed Study Under the supervision of a faculty member, students may earn 1–2 credit hours for work performed in an approved field placement or project for a faculty member who defines the scope and subject of the work. Each hour of academic credit requires at least 55 hours of work during the semester. Approval of the faculty member and Associate Dean for Academic Affairs is required. Independent Research Under the supervision of a faculty member, students may earn 1–2 credit hours for completing research that is defined in scope and subject matter by the faculty member. Each hour of academic credit requires 30 pages of written work of scholarly or publishable quality. Approval of the faculty member and Associate Dean for Academic Affairs is required.

36 Closed Courses Once a course is closed the only way of getting in is to keep trying! There is almost always a fluctuation in the course enrollments during the registration period, the persistent student has the best chance of getting in when an opening occurs [especially happens on the first day of the class.]
