9 25°c 82°C HEATING REQUEST ON the 3 Way-Valve PUMP ON OPERATION RANGE
HEATING FUNCTIONING 25°c 82°C You can see (for 4 seconds) the temperature that you are setting on the display by turning the knob. The heating request can be performed by: room thermostat 1, room thermostat 2, REMOCON and room sensor. Letter C will be displayed and then the delivery temperature (read by sensor NTC1) HEATING REQUEST When the boiler is at rest the valve is on the “sanitary” position. When heating is turned on the motor is supplied (inside shaft in), that closed the outlet of the secondary exchanger and puts pump intake in communication with the heating circuit ON the 3 Way-Valve The circulating device start is delayed 7 seconds after heating request in order to allow switching the 3 way valve; when it starts, the circulating device intakes the water coming from the heating system backflow and sends it to the primary exchanger PUMP ON

10 + Ventilator at the soft ignition speed
To clean the combustion chamber, the ventilator is supplied at the maximum speed during pre-ventilation period 5 seconds. The same operation will be made after the burner OFF during 5 seconds Fan ON pre purge ventilation Fan ON pre purge ventilation To clean the ignition probes there is one pre spark period during and start as soon as finish the pre-ventilation period. In the same time the ventilator goes to the soft ignition speed. Pre spark period Spark Generator ON + Ventilator at the soft ignition speed Pre spark period Spark Generator ON + Ventilator at the soft ignition speed Gas valve ON The gas valve is supplied.

11 Ventilator at the ignition speed
Flame ionization is checked. (By the detection electrode). 1st attempt with the power of slow ignition, if at the end of the safety time (8 sec) the flame has not been detected it will be signalled 5 P1 and a second attempt will be made; 2nd attempt with the power of slow ignition, if at the end of the safety time (8 sec) the flame has not been detected it will be signalled 5 P2 3 rd attempt will be made ; 3rd attempt with the power of slow ignition, if at the end of the safety time (8 sec) the flame has not been detected it will be shutdown c with 40 seconds of post-ventilation at maximum speed and 2 minutes of post-circulation at minimum speed Flame detection CONTROL To stabilized the flame on the burner surface the ventilator stays at the ignition speed during a short period. Ventilator at the ignition speed The checking is made with heating return and delivery probes. ΔT del-ret and the delivery and return temperatures of the rising speed are checks. Only in the Genus P. the pressure is checked by a pressure sensor. Only in the Clas P. the pressure is checked by a pressure switch. WATER FLOW CHECK

12 After flame detection the boiler is free to modulate the power according to the required thermal load. Modulation is carried out between the maximum heating power values (adjustable from the control panel with parameter 2 31) and the minimum power value (set made on the gas valve). The shut down temperature of the burner is operated as follows: 1° min after flame detection: T off = T set-point + 8°C 2° min after flame detection: T off = T set-point + 6°Cstarting from the 3rd min after flame detection: T off = T set-point + 4°C When the burner switched off post ventilation for 5sec Max Switch off burner 88°C (fixed not adjustable) This logic is used to prevent the burner from shutting down too quickly with the system at temperature. Next ignition can be delayed from 0 to 7 minutes (default value = 3 min., adjustable from the control panel with parameter 2 36 ) MENU’ PCB 2 20 Soft Ignition Power 2 31 Max CH ajustable 2 35 CH delay type 2 36 CH delay time 2 55 DHW ->CH delay FLAME MODULATION T° Off HEATING After 1’ T set + 8°C After 2’ T set + 6°C After 3’ T set + 4°C

13 SPEED CONTROL PUMP OVERHEAT CONTROL
The pump has 2 speeds that are operated by the control of the heating delivery-return ΔT. It is operated as follows: ΔT del-ret < ΔT – 2°C → V2 pump speed Δt del- ret > ΔT → V3 pump speed where: ΔT= 20°C (default value can be set by parameter between 10 and 30°C). Speed switching is carried out with a 5 minute delay (non-settable value) raising or diminishing. MENU’ PCB 2 37 CH pump overrun 2 38 Pump speed mode 239 Delta T pump SPEED CONTROL PUMP Performed from: Produced till 27/08/2008: the thermostat with automatic reset (102±4°C) located on heating delivery (even while the burner if off). 47 SANITARY PROPORTIONAL FLOW METER
When turned on sanitary mode, the flow of water passes through the turbine that allows the PCB to measure the flow by means of a reed sensor. When there are variations of sanitary flow, through the measurement of the proportional flow meter, the PCB anticipates the gas opening or closing, to reduce the temperature oscillations. A cold water inlet filter is built-in the sanitary flow meter to stop impurities from getting in. There is also an anti-hammer device (trough the PCB) that can be set by parameter 2 52 between 0.5 sec and 20 sec (default 0.5 sec). 50 BURNER UNIT The cylindrical stainless steel premix burner pot Ø 70 mm is made up of a small-diameter perforated external casing on which the combustion occurs. a large-diameter perforated internal casing that balances the propagation of the gas. This burner can be used with natural gas and LPG. 1 3 2 1) Stainless Steel Burner 2) Spark electrode 3) Ionization electrode Power Length Venturi 24 KW 104,6 mm Ø 42 mm 30 KW 135,8 mm / 35 KW 167 mm

51 SIT 848 SIGMA GAS VALVE The gas valve mounted is a SIT 848 SIGMA valve fitted with two operators supplied at 230 VCA that consent or cut off the gas supply to the main burner. The speed of the fan regulates the outgoing gas pressure of the valve according to the readings detected by the electronic P.C.B. via the temperature probes. The valve is prearranged to work with different types of gas without having to replace any part, but need only to change the nozzle. The maximum inlet pressure with which the gas valve can work is 60mbar. 4) Inlet outlet gas point pressure 5) Zero adjustment (Offset) 6) Gas – Air adjustmemt (Throttle) 1) Mixer system 2) Gas valve 3) Safety coils

52 GAS SETTING CO2 value The soft ignition power checking and setting
To check and to set the soft ignition, it is possible in the parameter 2 20 The formula is: Soft ignition speed (rpm) = ((5100 – 1330)/100 x V) V = parameter The factory’s setting is: V = 60 CO2 value Type of gas 24 KW 30 KW 35KW G20 20 mb 9,0% + - 0,2% G31 37 mb 10,7% + - 0,2% 10,0% + - 0,2% 2 20 Soft Ignition Power according to speed of the fan 2 31 Max Central Heating power adjustable (70% of 234) 2 32 Max DHW power of the generator 2 33 2 34 Max Central Heating Power absolute

53 IGNITER / ELECRODE PROBE
The spark generator produces the high voltage (14 Kv) between the two ignitions probes. The ionisation probe detects the presence of the flame in the burner Ionisation current more than 1 µA. If the signal disappears, three attempts are made to try to ignite the burner.. IGNITION ERRORS 5 01 No detection flame after 3 attempts 5 P1 First attempt fault of ignition 5 P2 Second attempt fault of ignition 5 P4 3 flame detachments detected in one operation cycle Ionisation current more than 1 µA Spark generator Ionisation Probe Ignitor electrod

54 MODULATING SPEED FAN The VENTILATOR has the dual purpose of expelling the fumes produced by the combustion and ensuring a consistent flow of excess air throughout the entire modulation range, from the maximum to the minimum heat output. As soon as heat is requested the ventilator is piloted by the electronic card if required on ignition speed The tachymeter of the ventilator detects the right speed the gas valve is supplied. When the flame is detected by the detecting electrode the ventilator if free to modulate, (See data base below) according to the thermal load requested by the boiler. The burner power is directly proportional to the speed of the ventilator. It is possible to display the ventilator rpm measured x100 by means of the parameter 8 22. 1 Mixer 2 Gasket 3 Fan Fan parameters 8 22 Speed of the fan x 100 rpm 8 21 Fan state 0= off 1=on Fan error 6 04 Speed too slow (100rpm lower the set-point) after tree time into a burning cycle or Hall sensor malfunction
