1 Who Is Lost? Proverbs 21:15-16

2 Who is Lost?

3 The Person who does not follow God’s Word.
There is a way that seems right to a man, But its end is the way of death. Proverbs 14:12 The foolishness of a man twists his way, And his heart frets against the Lord. Proverbs 19:3

4 Those who seek to only please others or
themselves are lost. For do I now persuade men, or God? Or do I seek to please men? For if I still pleased men, I would not be a bondservant of Christ. Galatians 1:10

5 Those who seek to only please others or
themselves are lost. 42 Nevertheless even among the rulers many believed in Him, but because of the Pharisees they did not confess Him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue; 43 for they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God. John 12:42-43

6 What about those in a Denomination?

7 Sincere and Zealous 7 Hypocrites! Well did Isaiah prophesy about you, saying: 8 ‘These people draw near to Me with their mouth, And honor Me with their lips, But their heart is far from Me. Matthew 15:7-8

2 This man came to Jesus by night and said to Him, “Rabbi, we know that You are a teacher come from God; for no one can do these signs that You do unless God is with him.” 3 Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”

4 Nicodemus said to Him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother's womb and be born?”5 Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. John 3:2-5

Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Acts 2:38

Then those who gladly received his word were baptized; and that day about three thousand souls were added to them. Acts 2:41

praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved. Acts 2:47

Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. Romans 6:4

14 Plans that differ from God’s Commands
are damnable doctrine. 15 It is a joy for the just to do justice, But destruction will come to the workers of iniquity. 16 A man who wanders from the way of understanding Will rest in the assembly of the dead. Proverbs 21:15-16

15 Lessons for Us Today

16 When we know who the lost are, we know who the saved are too.
And those who know Your name will put their trust in You; For You, Lord, have not forsaken those who seek You. Psalms 9:10

17 Salvation rests in the word of God,
not in the words of Man. 5 But you say, “Whoever says to his father or mother, ‘Whatever profit you might have received from me is a gift to God”— 6 then he need not honor his father or mother.’ Thus you have made the commandment of God of no effect by your tradition. Matthew 15:5-6

18 Salvation rests in the word of God,
not in the words of Man. These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God. 1 John 5:13

19 Conclusion 1. Those who are lost do not have to be lost.
2. Those who want salvation can have it, if they truly want it.
