What’s going on this week!
Reading: We will continue our study of Christmas Around the World. As we learn about different holiday traditions will also focus on fables and folktales in various countries and how to compare and contrast their similarities and differences.
Science: We will begin learning about landforms!
Math: We will continue focusing on division and how it is related to multiplication (fact families).
Writing: We will continue our writer’s workshop and cursive writing practice!
Reminders
Parents!-Tardiness has become somewhat of a problem in our classroom. Please do your absolute best to make sure your child arrives at school on time. Our intervention block (extra tutoring time) is from 8:00-8:30 every morning, therefore, when your child misses this time, they are missing extra support in skills that they need!
If you missed your scheduled conference time, I have reached out to you to reschedule. If you have not already met with me, it is very important that you schedule at time to meet. Thank you!
Parents, if your child does not have earbuds for their laptop, please purchase some for them as soon as possible! These are required so that their work does not disturb others ($1-Dollar Tree is the best find)
Upcoming Dates!
Dec 16th- Classroom Christmas Party! Any donations for snack/party items on this day would be greatly appreciated. I will not be sending home a sign up list, please feel free to donate whatever you would like.
Dec 19th- Polar Express Day Pajamas can be worn on this day, blankets and pillows can also be brought if desired.
December 20th- Christmas Sing-a-Long Sing-a-long begins at 9:00. ½ Day Early Dismissal at 12:40
January 3rd-Return to School from Christmas Break
