Royal Family

Family Tree

Family The British royal family comprises the monarch of the United Kingdom and her close relatives. There is no strict legal or formal definition of who is or is not a member of the British royal family and, apart from Queen Elizabeth II herself, different lists include different people.

Elizabeth and Philip’s children

Queen Elizabeth II became a mother almost 70 years ago, when she welcomed her first son Prince Charles in 1948. Next, the Queen gave birth to Princess Anne. She and Prince Philip welcomed Andrew in 1960 and Prince Edward in 1964.

The year 2002, in addition to the Golden Jubilee of reign, brought Elżbieta a loss of mother and sister who died within a few months. Elżbieta's relationships with children, usually quite cold, improved. The queen is particularly fond of her daughter-in-law, Zofia, the Countess of Wessex. She did not support the relationship of her eldest son to Camilla Parker Bowles, but when Prince Charles and Camilla got married in 2005, Elisabeth accepted her son's choice. The queen is closely associated with her grandchildren, especially Prince William (the eldest son of Prince Charles), princess Beatrice (the eldest daughter of the Duke of York) and Zara Phillips (daughter of Princess Anna
